Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems II LLC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Administrative) to handle outbound and inbound shipments, paperwork, and records. The role supports complex shipments requiring coordination with logistics and customs, including tooling and packaging for critical launches.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of shipping/receiving experience, even those with under 1 year in the automotive sector, and be proficient with Microsoft Office tools and basic math.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic internet research.
• Strong typing, basic math, and ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and Power Industrial Truck test certification.
• Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports.
• 1–3 years shipping/receiving experience; automotive industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare necessary paperwork to accompany outbound shipments and perform required computer transactions to ensure inventory is properly received and located.
• Print load sheets for full truckloads; assign load numbers; document loads and store records according to retention guidelines.
• Evaluate and select optimized shipping solutions; prepare labels; track shipments and resolve issues.
• Support complex ad hoc shipments involving tooling/equipment/packaging/parts and various freight modes.
• Liaise with logistics procurement, operations, and customs for unusual shipments; coordinate international shipments and shipments to countries with no local presence.
• Unload incoming materials and packaging; inspect freight and documentation for accuracy; generate nonconforming material reports (NCMR).
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight pickups/deliveries with freight companies.
