Job summary

Itape is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to oversee the flow of goods in our Chicago facility. You will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will operate forklifts, RF scanners, and coordinate with carriers while supporting internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (DOT/IATA) beneficial.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Inspect deliveries for damage, verify contents against packing lists, resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare shipping documentation including labels, bills of lading, and invoices.
• Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
• Organize warehouse space to optimize storage and minimize product damage.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding shipping and receiving.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and reporting
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor/manager
