Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Wood Dale, IL to handle receiving, shipping, and routing of materials. The role requires data entry, basic math, and strong attention to inventory control, with lifting up to 70 pounds and use of standard material handling equipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting, processing, and documenting receipts, notifying discrepancies, and assisting in inventory cycles and mail distribution as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months previous materials management experience.
• Some data entry experience preferred.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong problem solving skills and good communication.
• Good record keeping and computer/printer/barcode scanner operation skills.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel) or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to operate materials handling equipment (fork lift, pallet jack).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, process and route all materials into the facility and off-site facilities and enter receipts in the Materials Management software.
• Notify Warehouse Manager of discrepancies between materials and shipping documentation.
• Prepare shipments, including documentation, for outbound shipments.
• Manage Returned Goods process according to SOP.
• Deliver stock to the appropriate staging area for departments.
• Rotate stock based on receipt date and expiration dates to ensure proper stock rotation.
