Job summary

Pengate Handling Systems is seeking a logistics coordinator to oversee daily operations across our branch network, ensuring on-time, cost-efficient transport of equipment, parts, and materials. You’ll coordinate inbound/outbound moves, liaise with drivers and carriers, and maintain accurate shipping records.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years in logistics, strong organization, and proficiency with Excel/Outlook, with a focus on safety and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years in logistics coordination, dispatch, or fleet ops.
• Experience with freight movements and carrier coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound/outbound transportation across branch locations.
• Schedule deliveries, pickups, transfers, and shipments for efficiency.
• Monitor shipments from dispatch to delivery with status updates.
• Coordinate daily transportation schedules with drivers and third-party carriers.
• Source competitive freight rates when outside transportation is needed.
• Work with Service, Sales, Parts, Operations, and branches to prioritize needs.
• Prepare shipping docs, bills of lading, permits, and records.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and customer concerns promptly.
• Track metrics and maintain operational records; seek process improvements.
