Job summary

General Mills is hiring a Logistics Operator for the Richmond, IN facility (Blue Buffalo). This role offers 12-hour shifts with a $1 per hour night differential and a schedule of 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off. The position is currently night shift only and requires overtime availability.

Pay is $24.44 per hour with comprehensive benefits including vacation, holidays, 401(k) with match, health coverage, and pet insurance. The plant operates 24/7 with a strong teamwork culture at the Richmond facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year forklift experience in manufacturing/warehouse.
• Experience with WMS; SAP and Blue Yonder preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Forklift license/certification or willing to obtain one.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to perform physical tasks for long periods.
• Able to climb and work at heights.
• Must wear PPE as required.
• Adhere to grooming requirements for food manufacturing.
• Able to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet conditions.
• Able to work around high-speed moving machinery; allergens present.
• Tobacco-free environment.

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

• 12-hour shifts - 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, schedule
  • Day shift: 7 am to 7 pm
  • Night shift: 7 pm to 7 am
• Currently hiring for NIGHT shift only
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• 1 year (minimum) Forklift experience (preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• Experience in warehouse operations and use of WMS preferred (preferably SAP, Blue Yonder)
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
• Forklift license/certification or willing to obtain one
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
• Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machineryAbility to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
• Ability to work in a tobacco free environment
