General Mills in Joplin, MO is hiring a Forklift Operator for 12-hour shifts. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour night-shift differential (7pm–7am). The plant operates 24/7 and offers up to 120 hours of vacation, 11 holidays, a 401(k) with match, and health coverage.

The role requires forklift experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and proficiency with English. Candidates should be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred in manufacturing or warehouse.
• Experience with warehouse operations and WMS is a strong plus.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, store, and transport raw materials, ingredients, and finished products; support inbound and outbound shipments and meet production needs.
• Receive, inspect, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and supplies with accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Select, prepare, and load products for outbound shipment per customer specifications.
• Responsible for storage of raw material, ingredients or finished product.
• Receive, unload, and inspect inbound ingredients/packaging materials.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
