Job summary

Penske Logistics in Muskogee, OK is seeking an operations leader to guide hourly associates, coordinate driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross-docking while ensuring safety and cost objectives.

You will supervise scheduling, prepare reports, and participate in hiring discussions, with a schedule of Mon-Fri 7am-5pm and Saturday on call. A background in DOT regs and logistics helps you drive performance.

Qualifications

2 - 4 years related functional experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Willingness to travel as necessary and pass background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.
Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire.
Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance markers; counsel/recognize as needed.
Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and dispatch.
Evaluate and improve work methods to increase dispatch/warehouse productivity.
Complete records and reports in a timely, accurate fashion.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and site safety strategy.
