The position requires 0–2 years of experience (4+ years if no degree) with knowledge of motor carriers and TMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0 to 2 years of work experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 0 to 2 years of experience; 4+ years of work experience in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge and experience in motor carrier transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of a Transportation Management System preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the corporate TMS for carrier selection on outbound and inbound shipments from multiple plant locations across all business units.
• Implement the day-to-day transportation plan.
• Implement and maintain company policy and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor service level requirements and equipment commitments with motor carriers.
• Monitor carrier service level performance and meet internal reporting requirements.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Study possible savings and service improvements through use of new carrier equipment, methods, and procedures.
