Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Operations Specialist to support day-to-day transportation and logistics execution across the supply chain network.

You will monitor shipments, coordinate with service providers, resolve exceptions, and maintain accurate transportation records in multiple systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related operational environment.
• Exposure to domestic and/or international shipping operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shipments and equipment in transit, proactively identifying and resolving operational exceptions.
• Track and trace container movements to support on-time delivery and service commitments.
• Maintain accurate equipment, booking, and operational information across systems and platforms.
• Ensure depot bookings and equipment records are in place to support efficient movement.
• Create, manage, and complete transportation work orders as required.
• Investigate and resolve operational escalations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and validate transportation-related charges for accuracy and compliance with processes.
• Coordinate with rail, depot, transportation, and other service providers to address routine issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and provide timely customer updates.
