Job summary

TA Services in Indianapolis seeks an organized logistics professional to manage daily operations for a book of customers. You will forecast needs, enter shipping requests, and coordinate shipments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include billing support, afterhours handoffs, and accurate data entry in logistics systems; the role is office-based, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with benefits including PTO and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, or related field.
• Experience with logistics management systems, customer portals, and MS Office Suite.
• Experience reviewing shipment information for accuracy.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day logistics activities for an assigned book of customers.
• Forecast and plan customer needs one week in advance to support smooth operations and minimize disruptions.
• Accurately enter and process customer shipping requests.
• Coordinate shipments and resolve exceptions—update and reschedule missed pickups/deliveries.
• Enter and audit shipments in logistics systems and customer portals.
• Review large LTL shipments for accuracy (7+ skids or 7,000+ lbs).
• Provide customer service and communication; primary contact for assigned customers.
• Provide timely, professional updates regarding shipments, delays, and operational issues.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and excellent service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate afterhours issues and handoffs with the Afterhours team for resolution.
• Support billing, auditing, and operational accuracy; ensure billing references are captured.
• Partner with Freight Audit to research and resolve discrepancies.
