Job summary

Odyssey Logistics in Lombard, IL is seeking an Operations Intern for a rotation program to explore Intermodal Operations, Sales, Pricing, and Finance while supporting day-to-day activities.

The role emphasizes analytical and communication skills, with 3 days/week on-site, 4 hours/day and up to 20 hours/week. Candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor’s program with strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program related to the field.
• GPA around 3.0 preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete structured rotations across Intermodal Operations, Sales, Pricing and Finance.
• Support operations with shipment tracking, scheduling, and comms.
• Assist sales and pricing with market research and rate analysis.
• Support Finance with data entry, invoicing and reconciliations.
• Organize and analyze data in Excel to build reports.
• Shadow team members and learn the freight transportation industry.
• Own capstone project and present findings to leadership.
• Participate in program trainings, events, and site visits.
