Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Management Trainee for a 16-week Operations Management Trainee Program to prepare you for an initial leadership role in operations. You will learn the basics of the transportation industry and cross-dock operations under a mentor.

Relocation to another facility will be required after completion. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or at least two years of related work experience, plus a valid driving

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or related work experience (2+ years)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening abilities
Professional demeanor and appearance; strong work ethic
Basic computer skills required, including MS Office

Responsibilities

Learn basic principles of the transportation industry and efficient cross-dock operations
Participate in the 16-week leadership training program under a mentor
Observe and support Account Manager during customer sales calls
Accompany drivers on local routes to understand freight delivery process
Relocate after program completion to a different facility for a leadership role
