You will interface across all Business and Service Units, driving stakeholder engagement at the most senior levels of Clariant, while acting as the critical bridge between GBS and regional BU/SUs - supporting communication, top management engagement, and serving as the primary escalation point of contact for GBS Logistics in NORAM. Leading a team of 9 across NORAM and collaborating with global teams, you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful change, champion innovative solutions, and build lasting partnerships across an intercultural, cross-functional environment - all while contributing to Clariant's commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will bring effective decision-making and strategic thinking skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a proven capacity to influence beyond their direct area of responsibility, coupled with experience leading intercultural teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regional logistics strategy and processes in alignment with BU service levels and GBS LO standards
  • Develop and maintain the Logistics Operations organization across Procurement, Compliance, and Operations
  • Set regional and country targets, including service levels with BUs and budgets, and ensure their achievement
  • Track performance using a harmonized set of process KPIs reflecting end-to-end process performance
  • Ensure continuous optimization of services and the organization to meet BU objectives around service levels and cost
  • Provide proactive, innovative, and sustainable solutions that add measurable value to BU/SUs
  • Participate regularly with Regional Leadership and the GBS Global Leadership team
  • Act as the interface between GBS and the region by supporting communication, perception management, and feedback loops
  • Develop and actively track change requests and status of new solutions, communicating impact to all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage, motivate, and develop employees in line with Clariant's management principles
  • Ensure an efficient functional and operational structure that provides opportunities for individual growth
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • International and cross-cultural exposure with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of an organization, including beyond direct area of responsibility
  • Advanced business acumen with proficient financial management skills, coupled with a demonstrated ability to partner seamlessly with business and service organizations on direction and prioritization, driving change and establishing new services to meet evolving business needs
