Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations, coach staff, and drive improvements in equipment, processes and safety. You will ensure staffing, KPI achievement and strong labor relations while promoting a diverse, inclusive team environment.

The role is exempt with a first shift (Mon-Thu 6:00am–6:00pm) and pays $55,000–$61,400 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan. Candidates must have relevant supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• College degree or technical certification in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a warehouse or transportation setting.
• Proven experience in performance monitoring and rewards.
• Experience with progressive discipline and meetings (H&S/employee committees).
• Familiarity with labor relations and safety initiatives.
• Ability to investigate and report workplace incidents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day logistics operations and coordinate staff.
• Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet standards.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities for optimal shift logistics.
• Monitor KPI performance and collaborate with customers on operations.
• Provide coaching, evaluate performance, and recognize achievements.
• Promote diverse, inclusive teamwork and continuous process improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain safety and labor policy compliance and lead orientation for staff.
