Job summary

ARR Craib Ltd in Inverness is seeking an Operations Assistant to assist with planning inbound and outbound loads, coordinating deliveries and monitoring KPI performance.

You will work with Customer Service to schedule deliveries, provide holiday cover for Depot Manager and Transport Operators, and respond to customer queries by phone, email, and in person. Proactive and team-focused candidates with good MS Office skills will thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport/logistics sector preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and meet customer requirements.
• MS Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning inbound and outbound loads.
• Coordinate deliveries with customers.
• Provide holiday cover for Depot Manager and Transport Operators.
• Answer customer queries by email, phone or in person.
• Ensure contracts are covered per customer expectations.
• Communicate collection times and delivery bookings.
• Support risk assessments and policy adherence.
• Work with the Customer Service Team to schedule deliveries.
• Maintain KPI monitoring for on-time delivery, shift revenue and vehicle utilisation.
