Job summary

Universal Dedicated, Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting dedicated transportation operations for General Motors. This role supervises daily office operations and ensures accurate payroll, billing, and driver records.

The candidate will liaise between operations, drivers, customers, HR, payroll, and corporate departments, while maintaining records and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in administrative, office management, logistics, transportation, or operations support roles.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily office operations and administrative personnel
• Ensure accurate completion of customer reports, operational documentation, payroll, billing, and driver records
• Serve as a liaison between operations, drivers, customers, Human Resources, Payroll, and Corporate departments
• Support daily transportation operations through reporting, data entry, scheduling, and issue resolution
• Monitor attendance records, employee documentation, and personnel files
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and administrative support for new hires
• Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and DOT documentation standards
• Track and report key operational metrics related to service, staffing, attendance, and performance
• Support customer communication and help resolve service or administrative concerns
• Ensure office records, files, and documentation are maintained accurately and confidentially
• Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and office efficiency
• Assist leadership with audits, special projects, and operational reporting as needed
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to office staff
