Logistics Network Operator

Location: Whitsett, North Carolina

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

The Logistics Network Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of products across the logistics network through effective transportation execution, shipment visibility, and carrier coordination. This role focuses on supporting on-time delivery performance, responding to changing business demands, resolving transportation issues, and driving continuous improvements in operational efficiency and customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical and prioritization skills, and can make timely, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and support daily logistics network operations, including transportation, inventory flow, warehousing, and distribution activities.
  • Audit and review purchase orders, shipping documentation, system records, and related data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), customer service teams, and warehouse operations to optimize scheduling and delivery performance.
  • Plan, monitor, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery while maximizing productivity and minimizing transportation disruptions.
  • Utilize SAP and other logistics management systems to maintain shipment visibility, update records, and support transportation execution.
  • Monitor transportation performance metrics, identify logistics network challenges, and implement corrective actions to improve service levels and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, spreadsheets, and Excel reports while proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, improve operational processes, and support informed decision-making.
  • Support transportation cost-control initiatives through data analysis, process improvements, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and supply chain effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of logistics networks, transportation management, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience coordinating with carriers, logistics providers, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet analysis, reporting, and data management.
  • Experience using SAP systems or other ERP/logistics management platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret operational data.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to operational excellence.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience creating and analyzing Excel reports, transportation metrics, and operational dashboards.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, fulfillment management, inventory management, and warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations, customs compliance, and global logistics processes.
  • Experience with vendor management, logistics coordination, and supply chain controlling.
