The trainee will progressively handle load planning, payroll related tasks, and performance reporting, with opportunities for growth within transport and logistics operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with up to 4 years of related education or training; pursuing degree preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree candidates considered with flexibility for shift work, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build relationships with drivers and carriers to enable seamless carrier setup and improve productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects to optimize fleet operations.
• Learn personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and staff and onboarding systems.
• Maximize fleet efficiency, make improvement recommendations, and present customer reports and financial analyses.
• Gain knowledge of inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment in market.
• Perform payroll, budgets, driver counseling, accident reviews, invoicing, and reporting tasks.
• Manage yard operations, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance as needed.
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and staff to resolve service issues throughout the day.
• Maintain safety culture with daily messages, safety briefings, and DOT compliance.
• Assign loads, plan routes, monitor freight, and adjust ETAs to meet schedules.
