Responsibilities

  • Execute Asset Management engagements including DoW ELM software.
  • Develop and maintain asset management program with processes, tools and reporting for hardware/software assets.
  • Configure asset management tools to provide automated license reporting.
  • Provide SME on asset management on DPAS/ELM.
  • Lead HAM engagements including current state assessments and tool implementations.
  • Develop and implement IT governance for full lifecycle management of IT assets.
  • Support contract/license audits and reconciliation per business needs.
  • Track GOE and GFP throughout lifecycle from procurement to disposition.
  • Perform inventories and produce evidence of ownership and compliance.
  • Lead audit support planning and data gathering with mitigation follow-up.
  • Maintain a centralized CMDB and conduct regular compliance reviews.
  • Manage asset inventory using SAM, HAM and ITAD practices across all assets.
  • Lead reporting on hardware and software assets per internal needs.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce license costs and optimize spend.

Job Title: Logistics Manager

Location: Pope AAF, NC

Job Responsibilities

Trace Systems is looking for a Logistics Manager, who will be a key member of a dynamic, multi-disciplined team in Pope AAF, NC. This role will be responsible for asset management for the end-to-end execution of the Asset Lifecycle Management program. This includes the planning, monitoring, recording, and tracking of software licenses and hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, licenses, entitlements and property accounting policies. Further, the Acquistion team is tasked with identifying and enacting solutions that allow the engineering department to increase resource utilization efficiency and reduce costs through support and maintenance contracts, enterprise license agreements, and a streamlined asset management framework. Attention to governance, continuous improvement, and industry Best Practice is critical. Job Description:
  • Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution of various Asset Management engagements including DoW ELM software
  • Developing, maintaining and executing asset management program including processes, procedures, tools, and reporting for all hardware/software assets
  • Configure software assest management tools to provide automated license reporting
  • Provide subject matter expertise on assest management on DPAS/ELM
  • Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution of various Hardware Asset Management (HAM) engagements including HAM current state assessments, hardware asset lifecycle reviews and HAM tool implementations/integrations
  • Develop and implement IT governance (operational policies, procedures, and strategies) that support full lifecycle management and control of IT hardware and software assets
  • Provide contract support, license audit and reconciliation efforts based on business/client needs
  • Account for and track Government-owned equipment (GOE) and Government furnished property (GFP), including purchased and leased equipment and software license management, throughout the lifecycle from procurement to disposition.
  • Develop and execute strategies and processes to perform required inventories and produce evidence of ownership and license compliance
  • Lead audit support planning, data gathering, and mitigation follow up
  • Maintain a centralized CMDB and hold regular compliance reviews and engage with all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage IT asset inventory utilizing best practice software asset management (SAM), Hardware asset management (HAM) and IT asset disposition (ITAD) processes and tools across the full range of digital technology assets
  • Lead reporting efforts for hardware and software assets based on internal business needs
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to reduce license cost, or avoid additional cost
  • Ensure that updates to CMDB are accurate and metrics on software are captured
  • Coordinate the procurement function of IT assets
  • Support warehouse lead in overflow tasks with shipping and receiving within on-site warehouse
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT Asset Management experience in a large, high volume multi-client environment supporting several remote locations, and 10 years of general IT asset mangement experience.
  • OSHA safety practices, Hazmat handling experience, and daily forklift operation (5K standup and sit‑down); fully meets requirement for hazardous materials and equipment handling.
  • 10+ years warehouse and logistics leadership; supervised 100+ personnel; proficient in WMS platforms (Navy Remedy, STAMIS, CMPRO, GATES, GCSS‑Army, CMOS, ICODES, DTS); asset tracking and IUID/barcode processes implied through DoD inventory accountability systems.
  • Expertise with DD1149/DD1348‑1A forms, kitting, cycle counts, RMA/disposition; executed daily cycle counts, bi‑annual 100% inventories, and DRMO disposition of classified/unclassified equipment with proper documentation.
  • International shipping and customs coordination; scheduled OTR and rail inbounds nationally and internationally; managed freight carrier relationships; prepared shipping documents and coordinated broker/fleet deliveries across DoD and commercial networks.
  • Proven inventory accuracy and audit discipline; maintained 100% accountability of $16M+ monthly inventory; managed discrepancies and claims; advanced reporting with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Dynamics, Business Central, Outlook, and Teams.
  • A self-motivated, knowledgeable individual that can document and communicate complex ideas in simple terms to internal teams.
  • Ability to create schedules.
  • Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to technical, non-technical teams.
  • Must have strong will to work in an extremely challenging environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with the duties in accordance with Air Force regulations.
  • Multiple years of experience performing asset management for various locations.
  • Experience working in an ITIL based enterprise IT environment.
Desired Qualification
  • Industry Certification: ITIL, CSAM, CHAMP.
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and recommending enhancements.
  • Experience in understanding of Vendor Management, Procurement, Asset Life-cycle.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering) is desired.
