Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Management Trainee for its Operations Training Program in Texas. This entry-level role centers on an intensive 16-week program designed to prepare you for leadership/supervisory responsibilities in operations.

Under a mentor, you will learn transportation principles, cross-dock efficiency, leadership communication, and relationship-building. After training, relocation to another facility for your first leadership role is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics or 2+ years related experience
• Valid driving history per company standards
• Willingness to relocate for leadership assignments
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance; basic computer skills; strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Complete the 16-week trainee program in Operations Management
• Learn fundamentals of transportation operations and cross-dock effectiveness
• Observe and work with Account Managers and drivers to understand the freight process
• Relocate to a facility for first leadership role after training
