Job summary

Kids for the Future in Brookshire, TX seeks a Logistics Lead to coordinate receipt and shipments for solar module production. You will ensure accurate receiving, inspection, and storage, maintaining inventory accuracy while collaborating with packaging, rework, production, quality control, and procurement teams.

The role requires 2+ years in a warehouse setting, experience with ERP systems, and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role.
• Experience with ERP systems or inventory management software.
• Forklift certification and equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day warehouse processes including receiving materials, components, and shipments.
• Provides on-the-job training and onboarding for team members.
• Inspects goods for damage or discrepancies and notifies relevant departments.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following safety protocols.
• Verifies paperwork (packing lists, POs, shipping docs) for accuracy.
• Updates inventory records and systems for accuracy and timeliness.
• Acts as primary contact for receiving or shipping activities with suppliers and carriers.
• Coordinates with QA on PSI status and with Packaging & Rework on FG status.
• Locates and scans finished goods; communicates with Finance for invoicing.
• Collaborates with logistics carriers to prioritize/expedite shipments.
• Maintains organized shipping area and adherence to standards.
• Resolves issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
• Maintains records of shipments, receipts, and returns for audits.
• Assists with periodic inventory reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
