Job summary

Hillyard, Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment. You will help prepare shipments, load/unload trucks, and occasionally deliver to customers with a 26‑foot box truck.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in warehouse roles, a high school diploma or GED, and strong safety awareness. This role offers a Monday–Friday day shift, with potential for growth in logistics responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or related field desired.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to operate forklifts or obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory.
• Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare LTL freight and small parcel shipments with required documents.
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment safely.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with freight carriers.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Support cross-dock operations and assist with equipment assembly.
• Provide basic order entry and customer service support.
• Assist with employee training and warehouse process improvements.
• Backup delivery driver when needed, delivering with a 26-foot box truck.
