Job summary

PCC Structurals in Groton, CT is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to manage incoming and outgoing materials, ensure accurate paperwork, and support inventory control. You will coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or logistics experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Forklift experience and ITAR/export awareness are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of export/ITAR regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and documentation
• Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing materials, including all required paperwork
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track material locations
• Coordinate carrier pickups, track shipments, and support customer inquiries
• Manage vendor communication, purchase orders, and shipment status for outside vendors
• Identify and report damages, shortages, or discrepancies
• Support material handling operations, including loading/unloading and transport
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, HAZCOM, and shipping regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including packaging supplies
