Job summary

MEPPI’s Switchgear Division in Warrendale, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Shipper Receiver. In this role you will manage inventory transactions, support shipping/receiving, verify shipments, and coordinate transportation to ensure accurate, timely material flow.

You will train teammates on procedures, handle inbound/outbound material, and help maintain compliance with safety and quality standards while using forklifts, cranes, and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of warehousing experience.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory transactions and verify locations and quantities.
• Process shipping/receiving transactions and prepare labels.
• Verify customer shipments and resolve discrepancies with production.
• Coordinate transportation with truck drivers for safe loading/unloading.
• Train team members on shipping procedures and use of equipment.
• Receive deliveries, uncrate materials, and move stock to storage locations.
• Package components for shipment and load onto trucks per requirements.
• Maintain organized storage areas and prevent short shipments.
• Review packing lists and invoices; ensure accurate documentation.
• Support quality standards by inspecting incoming materials.
• Review bills of lading and shipping paperwork for completeness.
• Promote safety, quality, and department leadership daily.
• Assist with supplier shipments and regulatory compliance.
