Job summary

Grimco is seeking a summer intern to join its Logistics team and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations that keep our supply chain running smoothly. You will shadow logistics coordinators, learn how shipments are planned and tracked, and work with data analysts to understand how logistics data informs decisions.

• Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
• Curious about how things work and understand the why behind a process, not just the steps.
• Detail-oriented and able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player who communicates well and is eager to learn.
• Comfortable with Excel; exposure to data analysis or AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shadow logistics coordinators to learn shipments planning, tracking, and issue resolution.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

We'\'re looking for a summer intern to join our Logistics team and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations that keep our supply chain running smoothly. This internship offers direct shadowing experience with logistics coordinators and operations and supply chain data analysts, providing a front-row view of how orders, shipments, and data come together to solve problems and enhance the customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Shadow logistics coordinators to learn how shipments are planned, tracked, and resolved when issues arise.
• Work alongside operations and supply chain data analysts to understand how logistics data is collected, organized, and used to support decisions.
• Assist with day-to-day activities such as securing truckloads and reviewing delivery and transportation cost trends.
• Help document and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal and external teams.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement based on data, observations, and team feedback.
• Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and complete a small project or presentation by the end of the internship to showcase what you learned.

• Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
• Genuinely curious about how things work and interested in understanding the why behind a process, not just the steps.

• Comfortable with, or eager to learn, Excel and spreadsheet tools; exposure to data analysis or AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot is a plus.
