Job summary

Grimco is seeking a summer intern to join its Logistics team and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations that keep our supply chain running smoothly. You will shadow logistics coordinators, learn how shipments are planned and tracked, and work with data analysts to understand how logistics data informs decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
• Curious about how things work and understand the why behind a process, not just the steps.
• Detail-oriented and able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player who communicates well and is eager to learn.
• Comfortable with Excel; exposure to data analysis or AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shadow logistics coordinators to learn shipments planning, tracking, and issue resolution.
• Work with operations and data analysts to understand how logistics data supports decisions.
• Assist with day-to-day activities such as securing truckloads and reviewing transportation cost trends.
• Help document and implement SOPs for internal and external teams.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement based on data and team feedback.
• Participate in team meetings and complete a capstone project or presentation at internship end.
