Job summary

Grimco, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Intern to apply Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment. You will own improvement projects from concept to completion in Grimco's production facility.

You will design experiments, analyze production data, and develop automation solutions while collaborating with production teams. This internship offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to diverse processes, and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute DOE in manufacturing to optimize process parameters.
• Conduct Big Data Analysis to uncover patterns from production data streams.
• Combine AI with Mechanical and Industrial Engineering tools to develop automation solutions.
• Execute DMAIC projects to reduce process variation and eliminate waste.
• Conduct time studies, process mapping, and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and prototype automation solutions for production line efficiency.
• Apply statistical process control techniques to monitor and optimize manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement Lean manufacturing principles.
• Present data-driven findings and recommendations to facility leadership.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Intern who wants real-world experience applying Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing environment. You will own process improvement projects from concept to completion, working hands-on in our production facility to drive measurable operational enhancements.
