Job summary

Silvi Materials invites students to join its Logistics team as a Logistics Intern for a 10–12 week Summer 2027 program in Fairless Hills, PA. You will report to the Logistics Director and gain hands-on experience in dispatching drivers across Ready Mix Concrete, Bulk Cement and Aggregate, while learning about different concrete mixes.

This internship emphasizes customer service, on-time deliveries, and collaboration with Operations, Quality Control and Sales.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a collegiate program in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• Interest in concrete industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers to client sites to coordinate deliveries for Ready Mix Concrete, Bulk Cement and Aggregate.
• Provide stellar customer service and address issues or concerns.
• Learn different concrete mix types and their best uses.
• Field visits to Silvi plants and client sites for hands-on exposure.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality Control and Sales in a team-driven environment.
• Communicate via two-way radio with drivers and teams.

Title of Position: Logistics / Supply Chain Intern- Summer 2027

Location: Fairless Hills, PA

As a Silvi Materials Logistics Intern, you will have the opportunity to tap into the world of concrete/construction materials logistics. You will report to our experienced Logistics Director. Your 10–12-week experience will include everything from Field/Client Visits, Dispatching Drivers to client sites while also learning about different Concrete Mixes!

So, what does a Logistics Intern do? You'll be an integral part of our Logistics Team:

Assisting in the dispatching of hundreds of drivers within our different products- Ready Mix Concrete, Bulk Cement and Aggregate. (More than just Concrete!)

• Provide stellar customer service to our clients and addressing any issues and or concerns. (Commitment to Excellenece)
• Ensure successful scheduled deliveries with our drivers
• Communicating via a two-way radio system.
• Work closely with other fellow departments such as Operations, Quality Control and Sales! (Team Driven Environment)
• Learn the different mix types and their best uses (Concrete Mix Knowledge)
• Field Visits to other Silvi Plants and Client Sites (Silvi Exposure)

Qualifications Required:

• Enrollment in a collegiate program preferably in the fields of Logistics, Supply Chain, Concrete Industry Management or similar field required.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule as per operational need of typically 10–12-hour days and some Saturdays.
