Job summary

Kroger in Memphis, TN is seeking an Assist HR Manager to lead the Logistics HR function and support key department metrics. You will oversee staffing, coordinate talent acquisition, onboard new associates and drive retention efforts.

Responsibilities include managing recruiting with the Center of Excellence, handling background checks, conducting orientations, training, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of HR experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and train.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing activities for the site and align with staffing forecast.
• Own recruiting activities and coordinate with Talent Acquisition.
• Ensure hiring requisitions are processed timely and appropriately.
• Resolve candidate experience issues, including background checks.
• Oversee onboarding of new associates and conduct training.
• Develop and execute retention programs.
• Maintain personnel files per company guidelines.
• Provide education on contract interpretation, labor relations, and conflict resolution.
• Facilitate on-site training as directed by Supply Chain.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Participate in safety training and promote at facility.
• Travel up to 15% to support business units.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews.
