Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center in Delaware, OH seeks an Assist HR Manager to lead the Logistics HR function and drive key metrics while upholding the company values of respect, integrity and safety.

You will oversee staffing, recruiting with the Center of Excellence for Talent Acquisition, onboarding, retention programs and training; coach managers on labor relations concepts and contract interpretation. Travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum: 3+ years of HR experience.
• Minimum: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Minimum: Ability to prioritize/multi-task and deliver accurate, on-time results.
• Minimum: Demonstrated ability to coach and train.
• Minimum: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Desired: Bachelor's degree HR-related field or comparable experience.
• Desired: Some experience in employment law.
• Desired: Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing activities to meet staffing forecast.
• Own recruiting and coordinate with Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence.
• Ensure timely handling of hiring requisitions and candidate processing.
• Resolve candidate experience issues including background checks and adjudication.
• Oversee onboarding, orientation and training for new associates.
• Develop and execute retention programs.
• Maintain personnel files per company guidelines.
• Provide education on contract interpretation and labor relations principles.
• Facilitate on-site training as directed by corporate Supply Chain.
• Travel up to 15% to support business units.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
