Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution preferred.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Ability to use shipping software, scanners, and record-management systems.
• Good communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic math and inventory-counting skills.
• Ability to safely operate or be trained to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift 25-60 pounds and work in an active warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of lading, manifests, air bills, and other shipping documents.
• Process and enter shipping orders using shipping software and computer systems.
• Print shipping reports and respond to shipment questions.
• Verify materials, quantities, labels, packing slips, and special shipping instructions.
• Assist with moving materials to the dock or small-package area using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Help with packing, stockroom tasks, and cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
• Perform other related warehouse and shipping duties as needed.
