Job summary

Houston Food Bank is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee scheduling, routing, and driver assignments within the Logistics Department. You will ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations and coordinate with service providers to keep the fleet compliant and efficient.

The role requires leadership to develop policies, train staff, and monitor performance while maintaining on-site attendance and cross-training to support operations, including Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
• 3+ years in Logistics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in meetings and presentations with consistent on-site attendance.
• Directly supervise staff in the logistics department and enforce policies.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company rules.
• Coordinate driver scheduling, routing, and dispatching.
• Analyze reports and data to identify efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with service providers and manage fleet maintenance.
