Addison Group in Houston, TX is seeking an Expeditor & Logistics Assistant for a contract-hire role. You will coordinate and expedit e orders, deliveries, materials, and logistics from PO to final delivery, acting as a communication hub across Purchasing, Accounting, Warehouse, vendors, carriers, and project teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in expediting, logistics, purchasing, procurement, order coordination, or related admin role.
• Experience with purchase orders, invoices, and credit card statements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Track purchase orders from placement through delivery and ensure on-schedule progress.
• Expedite materials and orders to meet required delivery dates.
• Communicate status, lead times, and delivery dates with vendors.
• Monitor and maintain accurate delivery schedules and flag delays.
• Coordinate with Warehouse on deliveries, receiving, and special handling.
• Update Accounting on PO status, invoices, discrepancies, and credits.
• Review POs, vendor acknowledgments, packing slips, and shipping docs for accuracy.
• Coordinate with freight, carriers, and internal teams on shipments and deliveries.
