Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking motivated interns to join our supply chain logistics operations team. You will analyze material flow, support warehouse operations, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers hands-on exposure to data analytics, reporting, and cross-functional teamwork across production and planning functions. You will develop skills in logistics operations, data analysis and continuous improvement, with opportunities to advance based on

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher, pursuing engineering or related field.
• Training or experience in lean principles.
• Familiarity with RCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and PDCA cycles.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and Power BI.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, WMS, Visio, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Analyze material flow and inventory data to identify trends, gaps and improvements.
• Support daily warehouse and logistics operations by monitoring shortages and root causes.
• Lead or contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards showing key metrics for data-driven decisions.
• Partner with supervisors and cross-functional teams to improve communication between warehouse, production, and planning.
• Document standard work and support process improvements for safety, quality and productivity.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership, building professional communication skills.
• Support digitalization by improving tracking and reporting tools for shortages and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse layout and material flow paths.
• Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
