Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Logistics Engineer in Louisville, KY to drive site optimization, installation, and maintenance initiatives. You will manage timelines, build stakeholder relationships, and document procedures to support ongoing operations.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement across logistics processes. Travel up to 25% within the US may be required, with potential for international travel. A SAP-enabled ERP background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or supply chain engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance, industrial or manufacturing engineering capacity.
• Ability to travel up to 25% within the US, with potential for international travel, if needed.
• Basic knowledge in ERP system, preferably SAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, or key performance indicators for business units.
• Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, rate analyses, network analyses, or flow-path analyses.
• Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities.
• Analyze data or information to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts by breaking down information or data.
• Design plant distribution centers.
• Evaluate the use of technologies (GPS, RFID, routing software) to improve transportation efficiency.
• Conduct environmental audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.
• Perform data analysis and requirements.
• Site evaluation, site and building requirements.
• Planning process and material flow, Warehouse-Infrastructure & layout planning.
• Productivities & staff requirements.
• Establish and plan budgeting investments and project costs.
• Project planning for timelines and milestones.
• Understanding and developing layouts.
