Job summary

Performance Team in Texas is seeking an experienced Distribution Facility Operations Leader to direct and oversee the operational functions of a busy warehouse. You will focus on quality, productivity, safety, and employee relations while driving continuous improvement across processes.

Responsibilities include developing plans, managing labor and equipment costs, and ensuring KPI targets are met. The role supervises 5+ employees and over 200 associates, with a heavy emphasis on Ecommerce and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a fast-paced transportation and warehousing environment.
• 7–15 years of experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in managing transportation and warehousing operations.
• Experience in a 3PL environment is helpful.
• Experience with transportation management, pick-up and delivery, drayage.
• Experience negotiating with customers and managing contracts.
• Experience implementing and managing KPIs across operations and holding teams accountable.
• Solid financial, analytical and P&L experience.
• Familiarity with Lean techniques and continuous improvement models.
• Experience with warehouse and transportation management systems (WMS/TMS/YMS).
• Ability to create a high-trust, high-performance team culture.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the operational functions of a Distribution facility with a focus on quality, productivity, safety, and employee relations.
• Develops and maintains operations business plans, productivity standards, and cost controls to achieve company goals.
• Ensures procedures for receiving, storing, and shipping are followed and inventory is accurate.
• Reviews operational reports and resolves problems to minimize costs and delays.
• Manages the facility P&L and drives cost savings through continuous improvement.
• Works with port management to ensure smooth drayage services.
• Performs administrative tasks and communicates with customers to ensure service excellence.
• Trains staff to comply with policies and regulations and enforces safety practices.
