Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a results-driven Dispatcher in Plymouth, MI, onsite from 1 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday. You will coordinate vehicle shipments from pickup to delivery, building strong relationships with carriers and customers while maintaining accurate TMS data.

The role offers a clear path into transportation leadership within a fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate has logistics or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and comfort learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1+ year logistics/dispatch experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Tech-savvy with ability to learn transportation software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Professional demeanor, and strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipments from assignment through delivery.
• Monitor load status and provide shipment updates.
• Source carrier capacity and coordinate transportation moves.
• Resolve delays, service issues, and delivery exceptions.
• Maintain accurate information within the TMS system.
• Partner with operations, carriers, and customers to ensure successful deliveries.
