Job summary

Crane Cartage LLC in Pennsylvania seeks a Dispatcher to ensure client needs are met, dispatch drivers, respond to calls, and maintain shipment paperwork while ensuring DOT compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years related experience, accurate data entry and basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will operate in a fast-paced logistics environment with benefits and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local geographic market.
• Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Responds promptly and professionally to client needs.
• Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Good vision and depth perception required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Client needs and commitments are met
• Dispatch drivers and respond to Drivers calls
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
• Notify drivers of assignments and direct their activities to ensure cargo is picked up and delivered
• Maintain information on shipments and ensures proper paperwork required
• Update data base on all dispatched move
• Other duties as assigned
