Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a role that assigns work for drivers handling the conveyance of freight. You will compile and maintain the list of available drivers and assign trucks according to trip needs and freight.

Responsibilities include issuing paperwork, tracking departures and cargo, and communicating with customers to resolve delays or misrouted shipments. This position requires strong daily driver coordination and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
• Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Directs activities of drivers by two‑way radio.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
• Other duties as they may be assigned.
