Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Driver Scheduler/Dispatcher to assign work, coordinate drivers, and manage trucking operations. You will issue paperwork, track departures, and communicate with drivers and customers to resolve issues, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate cargo handling.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and typically 1–3 months of related experience, with a focus on efficient transportation coordination and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
• Troubleshooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
• Other duties as they may be assigned.

Pay Range:

$25.00 - $27.00 hourly *The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
