Job description

Connexion is a leading distributor of electrical supplies and energy business solutions, headquartered in the Chicago‑land area. This position supports our high‑volume distribution operation by managing route logistics for the Connexion fleet and messengers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, route, and coordinate delivery and pickup activities for the fleet.
• Develop cost‑effective routes that meet service requirements.
• Continuously monitor routes and collaborate with the logistics team to identify new efficiencies.
• Create daily manifests and match invoices to shipments.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and internal contacts as needed.
• Translate internal requests into tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain spreadsheets, logs, and manifests for tracking purposes.
• Perform receiving, placement, picking, packing, loading, and unloading of product for UPS outbound shipments.
• Keep the work environment clean and safe.
• Assist other departments on a project‑by‑project basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma; some college preferred.
• General knowledge of warehouse operations with experience in logistics.
• Strong sense of urgency and time organization; comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail oriented with problem‑solving ability and independent decision making.
• Proficiency with routing software and geographic knowledge of the Chicago area.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Computer competency including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, UPS, and internet.
• Ability to lift heavy packages up to 50lb and work at a desk for a typical 8‑hour shift.

Work shift and hours: Monday– Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Compensation: Starting at $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
