Job summary

Trax Technologies is seeking a Cost Allocation Architect within the Professional Services group to design, develop, and test business rules that allocate freight costs to ERP systems, ensuring accurate reporting and auditable processes.

You will collaborate with finance, IT, and ERP teams across SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and NetSuite, translating complex client needs into precise functional design and scalable configurations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical consulting, implementation, business analyst, or requirements management role within logistics, supply chain, or freight audit and payment.
• Hands-on experience with financial modules in SAP FI/CO, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite; understanding of GL posting and cost object structures.
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data validation and working within proprietary logic formats; exposure to EDI, XML, or API-based integrations between logistics and finance platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field; relevant certifications (CPA, CLTD, SAP FI, CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) a plus.
• Preferred: SaaS PS or freight audit implementations; experience with freight TMS or AP automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with client finance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to understand cost allocation policies and ERP data models.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, translating input into clear requirements specifications.
• Design end-to-end cost allocation architectures mapping charges to GL accounts, cost centers, or profit centers.
• Perform QA analysis on rule logic and document opportunities for improvement in agent development.
• Configure and develop business rules within our platform to automate routing, splitting, and allocation of invoice costs.
• Conduct gap analyses between client processes and platform capabilities to identify changes or enhancements.
• Develop and execute testing plans, including unit, integration, and UAT, to validate allocation rules across scenarios.
• Create functional design documents, data mappings, and traceability artifacts for client sign-off.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to prioritize enhancements and validate delivered functionality.
• Validate cost data exports from our platform into SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite, and other ERPs.
• Provide SME guidance on cost allocation best practices and client adoption support.
