Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising all operational activities assigned daily. Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead supervises associates involved in warehousing, receiving, and shipping, ensuring adherence to company service and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Training: Mentor and train associates in distribution activities, SOPs, forklift operation, and certification.
  2. Shipping/Receiving: Supervise unloading, stacking, picking, staging, and verify paperwork accuracy.
  3. Customer Service: Maintain professionalism in communication, prepare activity reports.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure product/order accuracy, report damages/discrepancies, participate in quality meetings.
  5. Safety & Compliance: Follow ISO, OSHA, MSDS standards, maintain cleanliness, execute safety protocols.
  6. Labor Management: Lead warehouse team, assist in scheduling, ensure quality handling of products.
  7. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain MHE, report issues, ensure safety certifications.
  8. Maintenance & Other Duties: Assist with building, grounds, clerical tasks, and work overtime as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year experience in logistics/distribution environment.
  • Ability to operate MHE and forklift certification.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Skills & Abilities
  • Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS familiarity.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, adapt to change.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years warehouse experience, proven forklift experience, MHE certification.
Physical & Work Environment

Physical demands include handling, sitting, bending, walking, standing, lifting 21-50 pounds, reaching, squatting, kneeling. Work environment is low to moderate noise, rarely fumes or chemicals. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
