Job Posting Title: Logistics Coordinator (Team Lead)

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising all operational activities assigned daily. Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead supervises associates involved in warehousing, receiving, and shipping, ensuring adherence to company service and cost objectives.

As part of the DSV team, associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, and to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities to meet customer demands.
  • Train associates on Standard Operating Procedures related to shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
  • Assist in forklift operation and certification for associates.

Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities:

  • Supervise unloading inbound shipments, stacking products, and staging outbound shipments, verifying paperwork and counts.
  • Load orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Process shipping/receiving/picking functions as per SOPs.
  • Research discrepancies in shipping and receiving.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and communication.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Prepare activity reports for management.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

  • Ensure products/orders meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies.
  • Stack, package, shrink-wrap, and label products.
  • Participate in quality meetings.

Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance:

  • Follow ISO standards, safety protocols, and maintain a clean warehouse.
  • Comply with SOPs, policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings.

Labor Management:

  • Lead the warehouse team to meet objectives.
  • Assist with productivity tracking and scheduling.
  • Ensure proper handling of products according to quality guidelines.

Responsibility and Authority:

  • Address non-conformities and report to Quality Department.

Equipment Operation:

  • Operate equipment such as sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, etc.
  • Maintain and report on equipment condition, ensure safety and certification.

Maintenance:

  • Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year experience in logistics/distribution.
  • Ability to operate MHE.
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Certificates:

  • Forklift training certification.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS.

Language Skills:

Mathematical Skills:

  • Basic to intermediate skills for inventory and quantity verification.

Other Skills:

  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, effective communication, adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years warehouse/logistics experience.
  • Proven forklift experience and certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Walking, standing, lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

Pay Range: $22-$23

Work Environment:

Low to moderate noise, minimal exposure to chemicals or fumes.
