American Metal Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Assistant to support daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and administrative logistics tasks.

You will coordinate outbound shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment. The role requires attention to detail and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of shipping, logistics, receiving, or inventory control experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and shipping platforms (FedEx/UPS/DHL).
• Forklift experience required.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with customer shipping portals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments and use shipping software.
• Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and related paperwork.
• Schedule pickups/deliveries with carriers and vendors.
• Track shipments and update status to stakeholders.
• Receive materials and verify against PO and packing slips.
• Maintain shipping/inventory data in company systems.
• Assist with inventory transactions and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with Purchasing/Production/Quality/CS to support flow.
