Job summary

CME Wire & Cable, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily warehouse operations, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate documentation. You will work closely with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse logistics and experience with shipping administration and warehouse systems. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse logistics or a related function.
• At least 1 year of experience with shipping/ carrier coordination, including bills of lading.
• At least 1 year of experience with warehouse systems such as QAD, WMS, ERP platforms.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and electronic filing systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, shipments, documents, and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain shipping, receiving, transfer, will-call, return/RMA, and other warehouse documentation.
• Coordinate carrier appointments, pickups, deliveries, routing requirements, customer will-calls, and truckload/LTL documentation.
• Create, update, and verify transactions in QAD, WMS, and ERP systems, including shipments, receipts, transfers, order status, and labels.
• Monitor open orders, ship dates, backlog, priority requests, partial shipments, and missing information to ensure timely execution.
• Communicate shipment status and escalated shortages, inventory discrepancies, carrier delays, damages, and appointment issues.
• Maintain bills of lading, packing lists, proofs of delivery, shipment logs, carrier records, invoices, and supporting docs.
• Support inventory-control activities including cycle counts, location verification, discrepancies, holds, transfers, and receiving/shipping differences.
• Prepare routine reports and status updates related to shipments, backlog, and carrier activity.
• Partner with Warehouse Operations, Sales/CS, Transportation, Supply Chain, carriers, and drivers to resolve issues and support customer requirements.
• Support safety, 5S, CTPAT documentation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in cross-training and provide coverage during absences and peak periods.
