Job summary

CME Wire & Cable, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily warehouse operations, shipments, and documentation.

The role coordinates carrier appointments, tracks order status, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate records. You will work with Transportation, Sales, and Inventory Control, using QAD, WMS, and ERP systems to maintain efficient logistics and data integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in warehouse logistics, customer service, or related function.
• 1 year in shipping or transportation administration.
• 1 year working with warehouse systems (QAD, WMS, ERP, scanners).
• Experience with shipments, receipts, transfers, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain shipping, receiving, transfer, and other warehouse documentation.
• Coordinate carrier appointments, pickups, deliveries, and related documents.
• Create and verify transactions in QAD, WMS, and ERP systems.
• Monitor open orders, ship dates, backlog, and priority shipments.
• Communicate shipment status and elevate issues as needed.
• Maintain bills of lading, packing lists, proofs of delivery, and logs.
• Support inventory-control activities including cycle counts and transfers.
• Prepare status reports on shipments, backlog, and carrier activity.

Job description

CME Wire & Cable is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to support the daily administrative and logistics activities of our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate documentation and system transactions, communicating order and delivery status, and working closely with internal teams, carriers, and drivers to support timely and accurate execution.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate shipping, receiving, transfer, will-call, return/RMA, and other warehouse documentation.
• Coordinate carrier appointments, pickups, deliveries, routing requirements, customer will-calls, and truckload/LTL documentation.
• Create, update, and verify transactions within QAD, WMS, and ERP systems, including shipments, receipts, transfers, order status, and labels.
• Monitor open orders, ship dates, backlog, priority requests, partial shipments, and missing information to help ensure timely execution.
• Communicate shipment status and elevate shortages, inventory discrepancies, carrier delays, damages, appointment issues, and other service risks as needed.
• Maintain accurate bills of lading, packing lists, proofs of delivery, shipment logs, carrier records, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Support inventory-control activities, including cycle counts, location verification, discrepancy research, holds, transfers, and receiving/shipping differences.
• Prepare routine reports and status updates related to shipments, backlog, priority orders, carrier activity, and other logistics needs.
• Partner with Warehouse Operations, Sales/Customer Service, Transportation, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, carriers, and drivers to resolve issues and support customer requirements.
• Support safety, 5S, CTPAT documentation, audit readiness, continuous improvement, and other warehouse-office activities.
• Participate in cross-training and provide coverage during absences, peak periods, month-end activities, and physical inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse logistics, customer service, order coordination, shipment coordination, or a related logistics function.
• At least 1 year of experience with shipping or transportation administration, including carrier coordination, appointments, bills of lading, PODs, packing lists, and shipping records.
• At least 1 year of experience working with warehouse systems such as QAD, WMS, ERP platforms, scanners, or shipment/receipt/transfer transactions.
• Working knowledge of warehouse logistics, order flow, shipping and receiving documentation, carrier appointments, and inventory processes.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and electronic filing systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, shipments, documents, and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and system information.
• Ability to research discrepancies, identify missing information, resolve routine issues, and elevate concerns appropriately.
