Job summary

Russell Standard, an Ergon Company, is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to support the movement of asphalt and emulsion products. You will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and internal teams, manage documentation, and help ensure on‑time, safe deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of transportation/logistics coordination experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Outlook).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in transportation, logistics coordination, dispatch, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• DOT and safety knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound shipments of asphalt and emulsion products.
• Monitor shipment status and address delays or issues.
• Serve as point of contact for carriers, drivers, terminal personnel and teams.
• Ensure shipping documentation (bills of lading, confirmations) is accurate.
• Track freight costs and assist with carrier performance.
• Review drivers' timesheets and equipment hours.
• Monitor compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and safety requirements.
• Create delivery directions, maps, and driver contact data.
• Obtain permits for oversize loads when needed.
• Support continuous improvement and logistics projects.
• Report incidents according to company policy.
