A pioneer in soft chemistry, SNF has long been present on all continents, employing 9,000 people, including more than 2,700+ in the USA. Innovation and movement toward a cleaner, less carbon-intensive world accelerates SNF’s growth.

The Import/Export Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing international customer orders and serving as a liaison to ensure smooth and efficient transactions. Key responsibilities include planning and executing SNF’s logistics processes; coordinating dispatching, tracking, and shipment bookings; maintaining accurate records, cost information, and documentation; identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement; and communicating with freight agents. The coordinator will develop a thorough understanding of each customer’s requirements and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. This position reports directly to the Import/Export Manager.

  • Work with brokers, freight forwarders, NVOs, and other freight agents to execute vessel bookings. Create shipment tenders and documents using SNF’s ERP system, dispatch according to current routing guides, and ensure all data is entered correctly and accurately.

  • Timely process import air and ocean documents and submit to customs brokers for filing.

  • Identify risks and opportunities to ensure cost-effective, safe, and efficient transportation of the company’s products.

  • Assist in carrier rate management by updating new rate schedules in rate management software, requesting quotes for new shipping lanes, and managing the contract repository.

  • Perform prompt and accurate data entry requests into various internal ERP systems.

  • Provide support during contract reviews, negotiations, and RFPs through research, data collection, and manipulation.

  • Develop and manage successful relationships with external freight agents, business partners, and co-workers.
