DN Solutions America is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage domestic and international shipments, coordinate import/export activities, and support inventory control in Schaumburg, IL.

You will work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and customers to ensure compliant, on-time deliveries while monitoring costs and reporting KPIs. Prior experience with ERP systems and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, shipping, transportation, or import/export coordination preferred.
• Familiarity with international shipping processes and Incoterms preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication, cross-functional coordination.
• Willingness to learn applicable import/export procedures and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments via ocean and air freight, including scheduling, documentation, tracking and delivery follow-up.
• Coordinate domestic trucking, rigging, reverse logistics, and trade show shipments; assist with inventory counts and warehousing.
• Review import/export documentation for completeness; ensure compliance with U.S. import/export laws and Incoterms; assist with audits.
• Review freight invoices against rates and contracts; Investigate discrepancies and coordinate claims as needed.
• Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual logistics reports; communicate with internal and external partners to provide updates.
• Maintain organized logistics records and identify opportunities to improve shipping accuracy and cost efficiency.

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipping activities, including import/export shipments, freight transportation, inventory support, and logistics documentation. This role works closely with internal departments, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, distributors, and customers to ensure shipments are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• International Shipping & Import/Export: Coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments via ocean and air freight, including shipment scheduling, documentation, tracking, and delivery follow-up. Communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to support timely and compliant shipments.


• Domestic Logistics & Transportation: Coordinate domestic trucking, rigging, reverse logistics, and trade show shipments. Assist with inventory counts and warehouse coordination to support accurate inventory management and efficient material movement.


• Compliance & Shipping Documentation: Maintain accurate shipping records and review import/export documentation for completeness and accuracy. Support compliance with applicable U.S. import/export laws, customs requirements, and Incoterms. Assist with customs and banking audits as needed.


• Freight Cost Management & Claims: Review freight invoices against agreed rates, contracts, and service terms. Investigate billing discrepancies, coordinate shipment claims, and communicate with relevant parties to resolve transportation or delivery issues.


• Reporting & Cross-Functional Communication: Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual logistics reports. Coordinate with internal departments and external partners, including distributors, customers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs), to provide shipment updates and resolve logistics issues.


• Process Improvement & Administrative Support: Maintain organized logistics records, support inventory and shipping audits, and identify opportunities to improve shipping accuracy, cost efficiency, and coordination across logistics activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in logistics, shipping, transportation, supply chain, or import/export coordination preferred.


• Familiarity with international shipping processes, customs documentation, and Incoterms preferred.


• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.


• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external business partners.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve shipment-related issues.


• Willingness to learn applicable import/export procedures, customs regulations, and company logistics processes.
